Nordstrom (JWN) Stock Climbs in After-Hours Trading Today on Third Quarter Earnings Beat

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Nordstrom Inc are climbing 2.39% to $75 in after-hours trading Thursday, following the department store chain's fiscal third quarter earnings beat of $142 million, or 73 cents per share, higher than the 71 cents per share analysts expected. The Seattle-based company posted revenue of $3.14 billion for the period, also topping analysts' expectations of $3.1 billion. Nordstrom updated its full year earnings outlook to a range of $3.70 - $3.75 per share, from its prior outlook of $3.80 - $3.90 per share. The company said this includes its acquisition of Trunk Club, which is expected to reduce earnings per diluted share by approximately 3% in fiscal year 2014.
